Second EU-Russia Innovation Forum, Lappeenranta, Finland
Signed in 2010, the EU-Russia Partnership for Modernisation is a shared agenda to help bring about reform in the field of the economy and society, with due respect for democracy and the rule of law. Its priority areas include the alignment of technical standards, the promotion of a sustainable low-carbon economy and dialogue with civil society.
The conference programme will feature business matching, an innovation exhibition and discussion roundtables. There will also be sessions devoted to the following topics:
- 'EU and Russia - growing together'- which will showcase the political objectives of the EU-Russia Partnership for Modernisation and how concrete plans can put these into action;
- 'EU and Russia - working together'- which will highlight the experiences learned and the needs of businesses in order to build successful partnership between Russian and European business partners;
