A symposium entitled 'Women and gender studies - where do we stand?' will take place from 14 to 17 September 2011 in Paris, France.

Research on women in science has long been viewed as interchangeable with studies on gender and science, while covering a wide range of disciplinary fields such as natural, medical, and engineering sciences, as well as social and human sciences.

A special session will be dedicated to the legacy of Marie Curie for women in science, as this year's International Year of Chemistry (IYC-2011) has been dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Marie Curie's second Nobel Prize in chemistry. For further information, please visit: http://dhst-woman.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de/doku.php?id=cfp_paris_2011(opens in new window)
