The Fifth Central and Eastern European Conference on Software Engineering Techniques will take place from 25 to 26 August 2011 in Debrecen, Hungary.

The main focus of the event will be 'Software in the age of the cloud'.

Cloud computing refers to the provision of computational resources on demand via a computer network. For some businesses and other customers, this has a benefit of allowing them to scale and expand operations without having to invest significant resources into infrastructure. The resources are shared with others, which allows overall costs to decline.

The phrase 'cloud computing' originated from the cloud symbol that is usually used by flow charts and diagrams to symbolize the internet.

The main topics are set to include:
- software architectures;
- middleware, frameworks and components;
- software components and reuse;
- model-driven software development and methodologies;
- software testing, analysis and verification;
- formal methods in software engineering;
- agile software development methodologies and practices;
- maintenance and reverse engineering;
- various aspects of software engineering and project management.For further information, please visit: http://cee-set.njszt.hu/(opens in new window)
