Symposium on the future of embedded systems in Europe, Brussels, Belgium
An embedded system is a computer system designed to do one or a few dedicated and/or specific functions often with real-time computing constraints. It is embedded as part of a complete device often including hardware and mechanical parts.
The Artemis Joint Undertaking sees embedded systems as a way of realising the dream of ambient intelligence. In this, intelligent support for people will be embedded in everyday objects. Large-scale application will increase the quality of life, making it life healthier and more secure.
The event will focus on the Ar Strategic Agenda (SRA) for 2011, which focuses on two areas: societal challenges in the European Union and a set of innovation activities in embedded systems that goes beyond the classic scientific approach in driving research activities. For further information, please visit: http://www.artemis-ia.eu/symposium(opens in new window)
