An event entitled 'Energy from waste' will take place on 19 to 20 September 2011 in London , UK.

Energy from waste has seen significant growth potential in recent years as the demand for renewable sources of energy remains high on the agenda of government policies and legislation. With growing government support and demand for renewable and sustainable energy supplies for the future, demand is greater than ever.

The purpose of this conference will be to examine specialised industry topics and areas at the strategic and technical level of energy from waste production. The event will also focus on commercial opportunities and the regulatory and political frameworks which govern and encourage the industry sector's development.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from stakeholders from all aspects of the industry and discuss most important issues in this field through a mix of case studies and presentations. Some of the themes that the conference will cover include:
- how regulations and policies are shaping the industry;
- managing and treating waste for energy;
- valuing the energy buried in landfill;
- food, energy and profit from wasted resources;
- project developments and challenges;
- technology update;
- the role of energy from waste in meeting renewable energy targets;
