Conference of the Society for Medical Innovation and Technology, Tel Aviv, Israel
SMIT was originally founded in order to advance minimally invasive therapy at a multidisciplinary level, in an attempt to reduce patient trauma arising from surgery or radiological interventions. Today, however, SMIT seeks to attract a broader spectrum of participants, including representatives from most medical specialties, instrument manufacturing, start-up companies, biomedical engineering and research.
The conference will be held in conjunction with the 14th Israeli Symposium on Computer-Aided Surgery, Medical Robotics and Medical Imaging (ISRACAS 2011). The aim of the conference is to forge a link between different disciplines including exchange of ideas amongst international scientists, clinicians and engineers working in the fields of medical imaging, computer science, and robotics. For further information, please visit: http://www.smit2011.org/welcome.php(opens in new window)
