Fourth International Conference on Biotechniques for Air Pollution Control, A Coruña, Spain
At present, the application range for environmental bioprocesses is being extended, with the treatment (biodegradation) and prevention of pollution (bioconversion, biofuels) centre-stage. The event will cover a wide range of topics pertaining to the application of environmental biotechnology for air pollution control and related areas, through treatment processes in bioreactors and clean (bio) fuels production. Some of the topics that will be discussed are:
- treatment of air pollution: use of bacteria, fungi, algae, and plants;
- bioreactors for air pollution control and bioconversion processes;
- prevention of air pollution: production and development of biofuels, such as
(bio) hydrogen, biodiesel, (bio)ethanol, biogas, or desulfurised fuels.
The conference will look to facilitate research cooperation between academics and industries, potentially allowing commercialisation of new biotechniques.For further information, please visit: http://www.udc.es/biotechniques2011/index.html(opens in new window)
