'High value compounds - the role of molecular processing', Kent, UK
Molecular processing encompasses the mechanisms and cellular requirements that influence disease states, cellular processes and the synthesis of therapeutic agents and biomedicines from biological systems. High value products include small molecule drugs and supplements and high value protein based drugs that are used to treat a variety of disease states.
The aim of this conference will be a forum to discuss important ideas and explore high-value compounds in order to promote the benefits of interdisciplinary cooperation and applications for molecular processing. The event will gather academics and stakeholders interested in the control of processes that are important in the generation of high-value products. Topics will include:
- biotechnology and industrial processing;
- synthetic biology;
- computational modelling;
- cellular engineering;
- systems biology.For further information, please visit: http://www.kent.ac.uk/news/stories/centre_for_molecular_processing_holds_first_annual_conference/2011(opens in new window)
