A workshop on policy foresight will be held from 8 to 9 September 2011 in Brighton, UK.
The event will present a consolidated overview of the results of the 'Impact of networks, globalisation, and their interaction with EU Strategies, 2009-2011' (Ingineus) project.
Sponsored by the Seventh Framework Programme, the project addresses the impact of globalisation and the rapid growth of selected emerging economies on the competitiveness and strategies of European Union firms, industries and regions. Ingineus focuses particularly on the evolution of global production networks (GPNs) into global innovation networks (GINs) and the impact that this has on knowledge intensive activities in the EU.
