Symposium on 'New horizons in preclinical magnetic resonance imaging', Freiburg, Germany
The event is sponsored by the 'European network for cell imaging and tracking expertise' (ENCITE) project. The project is pursuing the development of relevant imaging tools, leading to a better understanding of how cell therapy works, the possibility of response monitoring in patients and sufficient safety of the treatment.
The event programme will feature presentations, a guided lab tour and opportunities to network and make contact with other stakeholders. Speech topics will include:
- 'Molecular imaging in translational research';
- 'A perspective on preclinical magnetic resonance imaging';
- 'Structural and functional regeneration in the rodent brain';
- 'New methods and contrast agents for magnetic resonance';
- 'Non-cartesian encoding and parallel excitation in preclinical magnetic resonance imaging';
- 'Magnetic resonance of new therapies in brain tumours';
- Imaging of atherothrombosis by molecular magnetic resonance imaging'.
ENCITE brings together 29 project partners from 10 countries. The four-year project started in June 2008 and is co-funded by the European Commission with a financial contribution of EUR 12 million.For further information, please visit: http://www.encite.org/html/img/pool/Flyer-final.pdf(opens in new window)
