CONFORM-JET workshop, Stockholm, Sweden
The event will be an opportunity to participate in presentations and discussions about novel topics and key issues on:
- freeform machining using high energy fluid jets;
- energy-based multi-sensing monitoring strategies;
- predictive control systems equipped with self-learning capabilities;
- modelling and simulation of jet plumes.
The second part of the event will feature demonstrations of several case studies in order to raise understanding and interest in this innovative non-conventional machining technology.
The workshop is sponsored by the 'Self-learning control system for freeform milling with high energy fluid jets' (CONFORM-JET) project. CONFORM-JET is focusing on high energy fluid jets, a niche technology which can cut any material at negligible cutting forces, generating virtually zero heat and it uses the abrasive jet plume as a universal tool.
The project has nine participants from the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. It is scheduled to run through October 2013.For further information, please click: http://www.conformjet.eu/(opens in new window)
