Second Human Dependability Workshop, Toulouse, France
Mistakes will inevitably be made in any system that people are involved in. Space, however, is a challenging environment. Even when there is talk of 'unmanned spacecraft', human beings are an indispensable part of space missions. The systems up in orbit may most often be automated but this 'space segment' is only the tip of a very large iceberg, which includes what is referred to as the 'ground segment'. This takes in all the infrastructure, computer systems and human personnel down on Earth that keep a mission running.
The main purpose of this event will be to give to space agencies, industries, companies and other stakeholders the opportunity to present and discuss the way they distribute monitoring and control functions between automatisms and human operators. The scope of the workshop will include:
- standards and practices;
- system engineering trade-offs;
- system engineering tracing, verification and recovery;
- trends and lessons learned.For further information, please visit: http://www.congrex.nl/11m50/(opens in new window)
