A conference on environmental (Bio) technologies and EU-FP7 environment brokerage will be held from 5 to 8 September 2011 in Gdansk, Poland.
Environmental biotechnology is the field which combines biotechnology and study of the natural environment. Examples of environmental technologies range from recycling systems for waste water in industrial processes, to energy efficient car engines, to soil remediation techniques. Many of these technologies have the potential to improve the environment, and, at the same time, contribute to economic growth and employment in a sustainable way.
The event will focus on environmental technologies with both scientific and applicable approach. It will also facilitate cooperation between research organisations and private entities, with a view to creating opportunities ahead of upcoming calls from the EU Framework Programme in the field of the environmental technologies.
