The Second International Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (ICST) Conference on Arts and Technology will take place from 7 to 9 December 2011 in Esbjerg, Denmark.

With the evolution of intelligent devices, sensors and ambient systems, many research and arts projects have started to explore the design of intelligent and artistic artefacts. Ambient intelligence supports the vision that technology will become invisible, embedded in natural surroundings, acting autonomously and attuned to user needs.

Information environments may, in the future, be the major drivers of culture which will eventually lead to the availability of high quality arts and information to any user, anywhere, at any time, with any device.

The event will be a multi-disciplinary conference with attendees coming from the fields of computer science, design, arts, sociology, anthropology, psychology and marketing. For further information, please visit: http://artsit.org/show/home(opens in new window)
