The Net!Works general assembly will take place on 5 October 2011 in Brussels, Belgium
Net!Works is the European technology platform for communications networks and services. Gathering together more than 700 communications networks sector stakeholders, its mission is to strengthen Europe's leadership in networking technology. Net!Works is also working with actors outside the research community. For example, decisionmakers from various public authorities in charge of economic development or of local and regional policies are in an ongoing dialogue with the platform.
The event will be a forum for the latest news and activities from research and industry, with information on initiatives and activities at European level. The programme is set to include the following:
- keynote speeches from European Commission stakeholders;
- news from participation in public consultations of the EU Commission, including the green paper consultation towards EU research and innovation funding for future framework programmes;
- information on the forthcoming FP7 Call 8;
- an update on the progress of the Future Internet Public-Private-Partnership;
- information on new edition of the Net!Works Strategic Research Agenda.
