Workshop on network calculus, Kaiserslautern, Germany
As traffic flows through a computer network it is subject to constraints imposed by the system components. These constraints can be expressed and analysed with network calculus methods. This basis has given network calculus a reputation as a versatile methodology for analysing performance guarantees in computer networks.
Since it deals with bounds rather than exact solutions, network calculus has the potential to deal with problems that are hard for alternative methodologies. Applications of network calculus include applications for network engineering problems, such as in internet quality of service, wireless sensor networks and switched ethernets.
The workshop will bring together researchers with an interest in the theory of network calculus as well as those who want to apply existing results in new applications. For further information, please visit: http://www.mmb2012.de/woneca(opens in new window)
