Ninth European Conference on Wireless Sensor Networks, Trento, Italy
Wireless sensor networks have a variety of uses, such as monitoring physical or environmental conditions, like temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, motion or pollutants. The network then passes this data to a main location. The development of wireless sensor networks was motivated by military applications such as battlefield surveillance; today such networks are used in many industrial and consumer applications, such as industrial process monitoring and control, or machine health monitoring. As the field of wireless sensor networks matures, new design concepts, experimental and theoretical findings, and applications have continued to emerge at a rapid pace.
The conference will seek to disseminate innovative ideas from researchers all over the globe. Topics on the conference programme are set to include:
- hardware design and implementation;
- operating systems;
- programming abstractions and tools;
- communication and network protocols;
- information and signal processing;
- security and fault-tolerance;
- prototypes, field experiments, testbeds;
- fundamental theoretical limits and algorithms;
- novel applications;
- cooperating objects and their applications.For further information, please visit: http://ewsn12.disi.unitn.it/(opens in new window)
