European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network Annual Conference, Krakow, Poland
The event will centre on the topic of 'Fighting fraud in healthcare and social security: how to maximise resources?' Social protection in the European Union is designed to protect against unemployment, illness, invalidity, loss of a spouse or parent, old age, housing and social exclusion. Annual spending on social security benefits across the European Union is significant. However, when combined with a great number of beneficiaries and specific ways of contribution or repartition, social systems are left vulnerable to error, fraud, abuse and corruption.
The conference will seek to provide delegates with different insights into the fight against fraud and corruption in social security. It will also be an opportunity for all stakeholders to discuss and debate the topic with many leading experts from Europe and elsewhere. For further information, please visit: http://www.ehfcn.org/conference2011/general-information/(opens in new window)
