The Second Conference on System Biology and New Sequence Techniques will take place from 2 to 4 November 2011 in Trieste, Italy.

Systems biology, with its integration of high-throughput biological data and emphasis on quantitative modeling and simulation, provides a global perspective of biology that goes beyond classical reductionist approaches. At the same time, new sequencing technologies are developing quickly, providing whole genome data which show unexplored genomic features such as functional intergenic regions, copy number variations and more.

The conference will gather an interdisciplinary group of scientists with roots in systems biology and new sequencing technologies. It will create a forum for both disciplines to discuss new ideas and explore what lies in the overlap between these two growing fields. For further information, please visit: http://cdsagenda5.ictp.it/full_display.php?ida=a10159(opens in new window)
