Third International Workshop on Business Intelligence and the Web, Berlin, Germany
Business intelligence (BI) solutions allow users to query, understand, and analyse business data in order to make better decisions.
Traditionally, BI applications allowed business people to acquire knowledge by means of a variety of technologies, such as data warehousing, data mining, business performance management or periodical business reports.
Recently, a new trend has emerged where business intelligence applications no longer limit their analysis to the data inside one company. Data is sourced from the outside, such as from the internet, in order to complement company-internal data and provide richer insights into the dynamics of today's business.
The event will be an international forum for exchanging ideas on how to leverage the huge amount of data that is available on the internet in BI applications, and how to apply web-related engineering methods and techniques to the design of BI applications, such as business intelligence as a service. For further information, please visit: http://gplsi.dlsi.ua.es/congresos/beweb12(opens in new window)
