A conference entitled 'Ageing globally-ageing locally' will take place from 2 to 3 November 2011 in Dublin, Ireland.

By 2050, the world's population of people over the age of 60 is forecast to reach 2 billion. Across the world, governments, businesses and civic society are searching for policies and answers to one of the most profound social transformations in history - population ageing.

The aim of the conference will be to explore a number of issues, including how different countries address challenges and opportunities of population ageing, why global ageing matters to Ireland and how policymakers, business and service providers can best plan for changing demographics. For further information, please visit: http://www.cardi.ie/conference2011/(opens in new window)
