First International Fluid Academy Day, Antwerp, Belgium
Fluid replacement is the medical practice of replenishing bodily fluid lost through sweating, bleeding, fluid shifts or other pathologic processes. Interest in fluid therapy seems to be growing as the medical community is making a shift from looking at fluids as a mere method of stabilisation towards the appreciation of its relevant side effects. The conference will look into the various questions that arises in fluid technology including such areas as modern hemodynamic monitoring, impact of hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis induced by normal saline and effects on the microcirculation among others.
The conference will be a forum for specialists caring for the critical patient, such as intensivists, anesthaesiologists, emergency physicians, internists, burn care specialists and researchers. For further information on the event, please visit: http://www.fluid-academy.org/index.html(opens in new window)
