Tenth International Conference on Smart Homes and Health Telematics, Artimino, Italy
A smart home is an environment with the ability to bring together embedded computers, information appliances, micro/nano systems, and multi-modal sensors to offer people unprecedented levels of access to information and assistance from information and communication technology.
Health telematics uses this structure to provide health services, expertise and information within the home environment. With future demographic trends, it is possible that ageing and disabled people will use smart assistive technology to perform daily living activities, socialise, and enjoy entertainment and leisure activities.
The conference takes place annually, and this year's theme will focus on the impact of technology as a solution to prevent and/or treat chronic conditions. For further information, please visit: http://www.conference-icost.org(opens in new window)
