An event entitled 'Final presentation days of ARTES 1' will take place from 12 to 13 December 2011 in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
The Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems (ARTES) programme is designated to help European and Canadian industry to explore innovative concepts to produce leading-edge satellite communications products and services. ARTES offers varying degrees of support to projects with different levels of operational and commercial maturity.
Businesses located within European Space Agency (ESA) member states, whether small or large, new or experienced, can submit proposals via the various elements of the ARTES programme. Every ARTES element includes a funding framework and follows a certain criteria that must be met by satellite communications companies wishing to participate.
ARTES 1 is the preparatory programme of ESA's Directorate of Telecommunications and Integrated Applications.
