The WATERPRAXIS project final seminar will take place from 11 to 12 January 2012 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Partially funded by the European Union, the 'From theory and plans to eco-efficient and sustainable practices to improve the status of the Baltic Sea' (WATERPRAXIS) project has sought to improve the status of the Baltic Sea by assisting the implementation of river basin management plans in the region.

The event will be an opportunity for water planners, stakeholders and researchers to discuss current topics and exchange information in water management. Topics set to be covered include:
- river basin management plans and local water protection action plans;
- realising water protection investments;
- the Sesupe river basin - from general river basin analysis to improvements of drinking water;
- improving the status of waste water treatment;
- wetlands for nitrogen removal;
- acidic soils;
- climate change and river basin planning;
