The Third International Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (ICST) Conference on Sensor Systems and Software will take place on 4 to 6 June 2012 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Wireless sensor networks enable innovative application scenarios that may support a large amount of different applications. These run from environmental and building monitoring to seismic sensing, disaster prevention, nuclear reactor control, and even traffic monitoring.
The research and design of these new complex systems require the development of innovative applications to meet high performance quality of service demands. At the same time, they also need to support flexible, scalable programming of applications based on adaptive middleware and agile hardware.
