A workshop entitled 'Research and innovation collaboration in the food sector' will take place on 19 January 2012 in Brussels, Belgium.
Food, agriculture and fisheries, and biotechnology are the second theme of the Seventh Framework Programme. A main policy aim has been to promote the involvement of European companies active in these sectors which contribute to what is often referred to as the 'Knowledge-based bio-economy'.
The event will look at interdisciplinary research cooperation and technological transfer in the food sector. The conference programme will include speakers from organisations and industry active.
