The 'European lab automation congress' will take place from 30 to 31 May 2011 in Hamburg, Germany.

Laboratory automation is a multi-disciplinary field which brings together a variety of areas, including technology research, development, optimisation and capitalisation, to enable new and improved processes.

Following earlier events, this edition will be a forum for scientists, engineers, researchers, technologists and others to discuss on the latest application of technology in today's laboratories. Session topics are set to include:
- drug discovery automation;
- chemistry automation and compound management,
- biobanking;
- informatics for automation;
-liquid handling and robotics;
