Fifth International Workshop on Privacy and Anonymity on Information Society, Berlin, Germany
Recent trends have shown that organisations collect vast amounts of information on individuals, and at the same time have access to ever-increasing levels of computational power. Although these trends have the possibility to provide benefits to society, they also represent a challenge to individual privacy. As a result, politicians in a range of countries are looking at public policy concerning the use and the disclosure of confidential information.
The event will be a forum for researchers and practitioners from computer science and other fields to discuss current research challenges and advances in data privacy and anonymity research. For further information, please visit: http://www.mathcs.emory.edu/pais12/description.html(opens in new window)
