The Fifth International Workshop on Privacy and Anonymity on Information Society will take place on 30 March 2012 in Berlin, Germany.
Recent trends have shown that organisations collect vast amounts of information on individuals, and at the same time have access to ever-increasing levels of computational power. Although these trends have the possibility to provide benefits to society, they also represent a challenge to individual privacy. As a result, politicians in a range of countries are looking at public policy concerning the use and the disclosure of confidential information.
