Seventh Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems, Ohrid, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
Recent trends have raised questions about whether the society of today may be living at the expense of future inhabitants of the Earth. However, technological innovation may help the development of sustainable human activities in the long run. Over the past decade the concept of sustainable development has expanded to include the simultaneous consideration of economic growth, environmental protection, and social equity in business planning and decision-making.
The event will seek to disseminate knowledge on methods, policies and technologies for increasing the sustainability of development by de-coupling growth from natural resources and replacing them with knowledge based economy. It will also be an occasion for stakeholders to discuss and exchange ideas between scientists and researchers who promote multidisciplinary approaches to sustainability. For further information, please visit: http://www.ohrid2012.sdewes.org/(opens in new window)
