'Climate change and water security in the Middle East', Brussels, Belgium
Climate change poses several threats to human security. Hydro-climatic hazards such as droughts and floods have the potential to trigger or exacerbate social tensions, intra- and inter-state conflict.
The event will feature a number of prescient issues in climate change and water security in the Middle East. It will be a forum for stakeholders and researchers, EU policymakers and NGOs to discuss climate change and water security in the Middle East and appropriate policy responses.
The conference is being organized by the EU-funded CLICO ('Climate change, hydro-conflicts and human security') project. For more information please send an email to: Angela.Liberatore@ec.europa.eu
