The Second Conference on Laser Ablation and Nanoparticles Generation in Liquids will take place from 22 to 24 May 2012 in Taormina, Italy.
Today, nanoparticles are used widely as functional elements on surfaces and as nanohybrids, resulting for example in bioactive composites and nanobiomarkers. However, only a limited variety of materials can be integrated into advanced functional materials. Laser ablation and nanoparticle generation in liquids has proven to be a unique and efficient technique to generate, excite, fragment, and conjugate elemental, nano-alloy, semiconductor and ceramic nanoparticles.
The event will discuss recent developments in this field. Session topics include:
