The 8th International Workshop on Security Measurements and Metrics will take place from 21 September 2012 in Lund, Sweden.
Quantitative assessment is a major stumbling block for software and system security. Although some security metrics exist, they are sometimes not adequate. The engineering importance of metrics is intuitive: improvement cannot come without measurement.
