The Sixth International Conference on Waste Management and the Environment will take place from 4 to 6 July 2012 in New Forest, UK.

Waste management is becoming one of the key problems of the modern world. The issue is made more complex by the volume and complexity of waste discarded by society's domestic and industrial activities. With society's growing awareness of the detrimental environmental effects of current waste disposal, there is increasing interest in effective waste management.

Research on current disposal methods are not limited to landfill, incineration, chemical and effluent treatment. Recycling, waste minimisation, clean technologies, waste monitoring, public and corporate awareness, and general education are also on the agenda.

The event will be a forum for discussions among researchers, industry and governmental organisations involved in the field. The focus will be on research trends, waste treatment and its impact on the environment and society as a whole. For further information, please visit: http://www.wessex.ac.uk/12-conferences/waste-management-2012.html(opens in new window)
