'INSOTEC project seminar', Barcelona, Spain
Funded by the European Union within the Seventh EURATOM Framework Programme, the 'International socio-technical challenges for geological disposal' (INSOTEC) project has sought to identify and clarify socio-political challenges with regard to high level radioactive waste management, focussing notably on the proposed option of geological disposal.
The event will be an opportunity for all partners and stakeholders and researchers to discuss current project progress and exchange information in radioactive waste management. Topics set to be covered include:
- socio-technical challenges for implementing geological disposal;
- choice of case studies for further research;
- knowledge networks on radioactive waste management and how they address socio-technical issues.
The project brings together several universities and research centres from Germany, Sweden, France, United Kingdom, Spain and Finland, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech Republic, and Norway.The seminar is free but registration beforehand is obligatory, if interested please send mail to this address martine.vandervelden@ua.ac.be with your full contact details and an indication of your professional background or role.
