'Applications and implications of human factors on airport security', Brussels, Belgium
The event will cover the human factors and the principles of social networking with regards to airport security. The programme will also include the most recent results of the EU-funded 'Behavioural modeling for security in airports' (BEMOSA) project.
Funded by the European Union under the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, BEMOSA has sought to develop a behaviour model that can describe how people make security decisions in the face of reality during normal routine and crisis situations. By adopting this model, airport authorities can increase security, reduce false alarms and improve profitability. The project brings together ten entities from Slovakia, Italy, Israel, the Czech Republic, Greece and Spain, among other countries.
Workshop attendees will include airport management officials responsible for security, human resources and operations; providers of airport security services, providers of airport security training services, public officials and policymakers. For further information, please visit: here(opens in new window)
