Third International Conference on Heritage and Sustainable Development, Porto, Portugal
As nations move forward in time, heritage is no longer just a memory or a cultural reference, or even a place or an object. It has moved towards broader and wider scenarios, where it becomes often the driving forces for commerce, business, leisure and politics. The objective however, is how to make it sustainable in order to preserve and protect all types of heritage for future generations.
The conference will focus on a global view on how heritage is being contextualised in relation with the various dimensions of sustainable development. It will look at what is being done in terms of research, future directions, methodologies, working tools and other significant aspects from both theoretical and field approaches.
The event will bring together scientist and other stakeholder to discuss and exchange on the relationship between heritages within a framework of sustainable development. For further information, please visit: http://heritage2012.greenlines-institute.org/H2012website/index.html(opens in new window)
