An event entitled 'International workshop on data quality management and semantic technologies' will take place on 21 September 2012 in Palermo, Italy.
With the development of semantic technologies, a huge amount of data is being transformed into a 'web of data' that is available for retrieval and reuse. This significant growth is one of the key challenges is the management of data quality in the semantic web.
Semantic technologies may provide new solution options for data quality management. Therefore in addition to applying previous data quality research on the semantic web, there are opportunities for the development of new data quality models, frameworks, methodologies and applications.
This workshop will bring together the semantic web and data quality research communities to identify new innovative possibilities for addressing data quality issues with semantic technologies.
