The 12th International Forum on Mood and Anxiety Disorder will take place from 7 to 9 November 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

From time to time, most people have to deal with anxiety to some extent. However, this can become a real issue for people suffering from it for prolonged periods. Anxiety disorders consist in an exaggerated state of worry and fear which usually last at least six months and keep people from doing things most others take for granted. Common anxiety disorders include generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social phobias.

The event will focus on the various educational strategies to prevent suicide attempts, the place of antidepressants in bipolar depression, new approaches in treating alcohol abuse and improved placebo control groups. The new up and coming antidepressants will also be discussed. For further information, please visit: http://www.ifmad.org/2012/(opens in new window)
