The First Annual Workshop of the FIRST-Nuclides Project will take place from 9 to 11 October 2012 in Budapest, Hungary.
The FIRST-Nuclides project aims to provide for an improved understanding of radionuclides released from disposed high burn-up UO2 spent nuclear fuel. The knowledge and data obtained is expected to lead to increased confidence in experts' prediction capability.
The main focus of the workshop is the dissemination and discussion of scientific and technical results obtained during the first year of the project. A topical session including specific presentations on "Modelling of fuel behaviour" will be held and project participants will have the opportunity to discuss administrative and future implementation issues.
