The notion of eGovernment encompasses the use of tools and systems made possible by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to provide better public services to citizens and businesses. They can enhance democracy through the use of communications technologies such as interactive television and online voting, for instance.
Taking place exactly 10 years after the European Ministerial eGovernment Conference that was held in Como (Cernobbio) in 2003, the conference will aim to demonstrate the positive impact of e-government on the European economy and citizens' welfare.
