An event entitled 'SDR-WInnComm-Europe 2013', an acronym that stands for 'Wireless Innovation Forum European Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio', will take place from 11 to 13 June 2013 in Aachen, Germany.

Wireless technology is an area of electronics that is developing and growing very fast. With smartphone data threatening to drown the airwaves, wireless carriers and research are looking at alternatives such as a radio bandwith.

Reconfigurable radio technologies are essential to support the requirements of the wireless market. Network operators and wireless service providers across all markets need to contain their capital and operational expenditures while supporting a proliferation of wireless standards and wireless users. The likes of business travelers or first responders in a national emergency are demanding radio technologies that would allow them to communicate with whoever they need to, whenever they need to and wherever they are.

The conference will be a forum for the scientific community specialising in this field to exchange on the requirements across domains and present innovative solutions in reconfigurable radio technology. For further information, please visit
