The Second International Summer Course on Optimization and Decision Support Systems for Supply Chains will take place from 7 to 21 July 2013 in Portalegre, Portugal.
In Europe or worldwide, Decision Support Systems (DSS) are well known in Supply Chain (SC) context. They conjugate data and intelligence, promote the assumption of the best and possible decisions, and ensure that the uncertainty of forecast is kept to a minimum. Thus, the optimization of discrete decisions in uncertain environment is a necessity. Exact and approximation methods are required to promote the robustness of discrete decisions through risk technical measures.
The course will look at modelling and optimization of a network of production-distribution facilities, considering the material and financial fluxes in a multi-echelon framework, and also addressing the "green" logistics approach to supply chains (SC).For further information, please visit:
