'Augmented Human '13', Stuttgart, Germany
For quite a while, research has been looking into how technology can be used to augment human capabilities. Intelligence amplification is widely studied in information technology, within the framework of attempts to apply human intelligence to robotics applications. The idea was first proposed in the 1950s and 1960s by cybernetics and early computer pioneers.
Today, some of this ongoing research is focusing on the ability for a human system domain to strike the appropriate balance between hardware, software and human capacities in order to optimize overall system performance and functionality. This could also allow for designing technology that would optimize human potential.
The event will look into technologies augmenting human capabilities for increased well-being and enjoyable human experience. For further information, please visit
