Third International Conference on Disaster Management and Human Health: Reducing Risk, Improving Outcomes, A Coruña, Spain
Due in part to climate instability, the world is facing an increasing number of natural disasters. They are affecting millions of people, destroying property and resulting in loss of human life. Such disasters include major floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis and many others.
All these events pose unprecedented risks to human health on a world scale, thereby requiring considerable efforts by the international community. There is a need to look into the current global health risks; as well as how to best to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters in order to reduce human health impacts.
