'Biomarkers for Brain Disorder: Challenges and Opportunities', Cambridge, UK
The discovery and validation of biomarkers in neurological and neurodegenerative diseases is an important challenge for early diagnosis and for the development of therapeutics. However, progress in the development and use of biomarkers for central nervous system dysfunctions has so far been limited by a number of difficulties -including the inherent barriers associated with studying the brain. Development of reliable biomarkers for brain disorders would dramatically accelerate research on the etiology, pathophysiology, disease progression, and therapeutic development of many prevalent and devastating diseases including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and others.
The conference will be an opportunity for neuroscientists and researchers to discuss methodological and regulatory aspects of biomarker identification and qualification, across a wide spectrum of neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases.For further information, please visit:
