'Responding to Environmental Complexity: A Showcase of UCL Research', London, UK
Australia's summer-holiday season has barely begun. Yet a heatwave has swept across the country with smashing temperature records and raising questions both about the impact of global warming on annual weather patterns, and about our planet's vulnerability to the changes. The environmental problems that challenge our well-being both within specific communities and globally is increasingly alarming. It is widely recognised that these are wicked problems arising from the complexity of environmental and socio-environmental systems. Tackling these problems requires research that crosses disciplinary boundaries and breaks down traditional silos in approaching the analysis and resolution of these issues.
