The 'ACQUEAU Workshop' will be held on 19 February 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.

Water is one of earth's most important resources. In Europe, the water provides 600,000 direct jobs to European citizens . However, there is a global disparity between water end users in terms of effectiveness of supply, equal access, sustainability and efficiency in water use, which has a great impact on all sectors of European society.

ACQUEAU is the EUREKA Cluster for water. It is composed of major industry players networking together with smaller businesses and academia to develop new innovative projects, supported financially by public funds. It is dedicated to environmental and water-related technology that aims to create collaborative innovation that will strengthen the European water sector. It aims to promote innovative and market-driven solutions.

This workshop will bring together relevant R&D and innovation stakeholders such as large enterprises, SMEs, research centres and public authorities to develop projects ideas around three water priority challenges being water and wastewater infrastructures; water and wastewater treatment processes; and energy saving and recovery innovations. For further information, please visit:
