The interest in biointerface science stems from the urgent need to achieve a better understanding of interactions between biomolecules and surfaces. Rapid progress is driven by a number of growing industrial and clinical applications such as biosensors and biochips, tissue engineering and medical implants, stem cell therapies, nanomedicine and drug delivery.
This conference will bring together researchers to discuss and exchange - in a broad sense - science and technology of relevance for interfaces between synthetic materials and biological systems or within biological systems.
