'ICT for Sustainable Places', Nice, France
Concentrating on building efficiency is one of Europe's new climate change mantra. Since buildings account for 40% of all energy consumed in most European countries, insulating them effectively could help the EU meet its climate targets for 2020. Building on the successful series of annual events 'ICT for sustainable homes' and with the support of the EU-funded Beywatch project, the RESILIENT project will be hosting a conference that will focus on sustainable cities, and more generally on sustainable places.
The EU funded RESILIENT project aims to design, develop, install and assess the energy and environmental benefits of a new integrated concept of interconnectivity between buildings, DER, grids and other networks at a district level. The project's approach combines different innovative technologies including smart ICT components, optimized energy generation and storage technologies (also for RES) integrated to provide real time accounts of energy demand and supply at a district level and assist in the decision-making process.
The conference will highlight energy efficiency engineering and energy performances assessment methodologies. These two topics are critical for the European industry to overcome current technological limitations and ensure a wide breakthrough of energy-efficient technologies. Stakeholders will discuss, network, discover the latest technology and market trends, as well as identify research and business opportunities. For further information, please visit:
